YORK, Pa. - April 11, 2014 - PRLog -- The recent event at Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville, PA is a stinging reminder of the importance of critical response in emergent situations.  In the immediate moments following the school tragedy, Quest Behavioral Health and Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) was exclusively called upon to coordinate the vital critical incident response.  Quest’s EAP Director of Sales and Customer Service, Connie Stock, faithfully responded to the immediate call from the Franklin Regional School District.  At the forefront of the coordinating effort, Ms. Stock successfully expedited the connection between workplace violence expert Richard J. Ottenstein, Ph.D. of the Workplace Trauma Center, and the Franklin Regional School District in their time of crisis. Dr. Ottenstein, CEAP, CTS, is a licensed psychologist with extensive experience in crisis management and intervention services. Quest is fortunate to have a successful, longstanding working relationship with Dr. Ottenstein since 2005.

Along with the help of local community mental health resources, Dr. Ottenstein was able to reach affected first responders, staff, and families within hours to provide imperative counseling and support required in the face of such tragedy.

Unfortunately, we are once again reminded of the delicate nature of our homes, schools, and communities.  In response to the ever changing needs of our clients and organizations served, Quest EAP’s services have expanded well beyond individual counseling.  Servicing our clients in critical incidents is an integral service offered by Quest EAP.  Our extensive provider network enabled expeditious service to those affected in the Murrysville area in a moment’s notice.  Our trusted relationships allowed us the opportunity to successfully respond in the utmost time of need.

For additional information about Quest's EAP and services offered, please contact Connie Stock by phone at (717) 851-5357 or by email at cstock@questbh.com.
