Logan Business Concepts, Inc. on Spring Recruiting Trail 2014
“The students were great, well prepared, and eager for experience”
In March, our management staff started their search in Manhattan and the Bronx. First, the team split up on Wednesday, March 19th, to visit two schools.
Company President, Jared Logan, went to Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC). “The students were great, well prepared, and eager for experience”, Mr. Logan noted. Borough of Manhattan Community College was founded in 1963 and opened in 1964 as a small, primarily business-oriented community college offering programs aimed at the business community.
Simultaneously, other members of the Mgmt. team were in the Bronx, at Monroe College. Asst. Mgr. Aurora said,
“For a smaller school, there was a great turnout. I was impressed by a good number of people I met today. I can’t wait to see them become part of our team”.
The college was a great host. The day started off with an employer meet and great, over coffee and lunch. Showed a lot of commitment from the school to deliver on the promise of helping its graduates finds jobs once their academic careers were over. Monroe College is a for-profit college with campuses in the Bronx and New Rochelle in the U.S. state of New York and in the Caribbean nation of St. Lucia. The college is named after James Monroe, the fifth President of the United States.
A few days later, we attended the Job and Internship Fair at Hostos Community College, in the Bronx. From 1-4 pm, Jared, LBC President, met with candidates from multiple degree programs. “The Bronx has shown me a lot. Students from these colleges and university are eager to get their futures going now, rather than later”, he said. Eugenio María de Hostos Community College of The City University of New York is a community college in the City University of New York system located in the South Bronx, New York City.
We have enjoyed this experience. This past month gave us a bar to measure the rest of our recruitment season against. We hope to have more success with other schools that we visit over the next few weeks. The future looks very bright here at LBC Inc.
