Open Letter to the American Diabetes Association and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
There is a scientifically -based and medically proven diet program that enables weight loss, fat burning, improved blood glucose, cholesterol, triglycerides, liver enzymes, blood pressure, and Vitamin D. The time has come for ADA and AND backing.
The programs are medically proven and scientifically sound; written by an RD CDE with 33 years specializing in these conditions. Twelve years of data collection from over 6000 private patients prove that the programs enable fat and weight loss, midline fat decrease, improvement in fasting glucose, HbA1C, total chol, LDL chol, HDL chol, triglycerides, Vitamin D, insulin, blood pressure, NAFLD and liver enzymes (as evidenced by statistically significant improvement in these parameters after only eight weeks). Over time, medications and medication doses can be decreased or eliminated per physician recommendation.
I am willing to write a program to be made available to all Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics members. The program is a NY Times and world-wide best seller. The medical community is becoming more aware of the overwhelming benefits of this program as their patients return for their follow-up appointments leaner, with greatly improved medical profiles, and feeling so much better as they practice this lifestyle.
At the same time, more and more patients are asking why the AND and ADA are not actively supporting a program that is specifically designed for the 150 million Americans with metabolic syndrome, pre diabetes, and type 2 diabetes.
It is time for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics to regain credibility, stand up, and speak up for the people who entrust their health to the medical associations such as the ADA and AND. It is our responsibility and duty to provide the best medical nutrition therapy to benefit the health and wellness of the population.
I am making myself available to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and Commission on Dietetic Registration to develop the curriculum that is destined to improve the health and lives of millions.
