NEW YORK - April 8, 2014 - PRLog -- Philadelphia, PA – The American Conference Institute (ACI) announced that prosecutors from California, Florida, Indiana, and New Jersey will convene for a panel discussion on privacy and security concerns surrounding electronic personal health information.   The speakers—Suzanne Giorgi, Patrice Malloy, Lyman Taylor, and Edward Mullins, respectively—have extensive experience in prosecuting breaches and cases of identity theft under HIPAA or state counterparts on nation or statewide scales.

“These officials are on the frontline of investigations and litigation arising from privacy and security breaches,” said ACI Division Manager Stephanie Butler.  “As enforcement efforts have increased each year, their unique insight will enhance and underline the importance of the compliance concerns outlined by the rest of the program,” she added.  According to Butler, the rest of the conference’s faculty is very highly regarded as well.  As Butler put it, “in-house counsel from twenty leading healthcare organizations, and outside counsel that include former prosecutors, will combine with the other experts to really provide insider information on how to effectively protect the personal health information of patients.”

Attendees will also gain a substantial amount of CLE credit—as well as CPE credits—which is a great bonus for attendees.  As Ms. Butler noted, “attendees can satisfy professional licensing requirements and stay on the cutting edge in healthcare privacy and security practice, all in just two days.”  Given this announcement, we anticipate that seats will fill up fast, so be sure to register now to save your spot.  The 4th Annual Healthcare Privacy and Security Forum takes place in Philadelphia, PA, on May 22-23, 2014 (with pre-conference workshops on May 21, 2014), and registration can be achieved by calling 888-224-2480 or visiting http://www.americanconference.com/2014/664/healthcare-pri...
