Rock the Dock at the Marina at Edison Ford

FORT MYERS, Fla. - April 7, 2014 - PRLog -- The first of many events to come at The Marina at Edison Ford is slated for April 25th and 26th. Rock The Dock offers a weekend of fun, food and entertainment for the entire family.

On Friday, April 25th,  the Southwest Florida Yacht Club, which is based at The Marina, will toast the inaugural event, kicking it off at 5:50 p.m. followed by food and live entertainment by Deb and The Dynamics.

The next day, Saturday, April 26th, the fun goes all day! The Rachel Hughes Duo will perform from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the Cracker Blues Band from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and the much-anticipated, number one Jimmy Buffet tribute band, The Landsharks, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  In addition, The Marina will have fresh, locally caught blue crabs delivered by boat to The Marina’s dock at approximately 1:30pm.

The Landsharks have opened up for, backed up, and played with Jimmy Buffett, in concert, and at Margaitaville! After performing with the Landsharks, Jimmy Buffett hired the band to be the House band at Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, where The Landsharks played every night, for two years. The Landsharks have opened up for the Beach Boys, in concert and have played at The Super Bowl, several times. Based in Orlando, The Landsharks have also played in Disney World, for more 10 years.

The Marina at Edison Ford is located at 2360 W. First Street in downtown Fort Myers (or Marker 54 by boat). It opened in March in what was formerly the Royal Palm Yacht Club.
