HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. - April 7, 2014 - PRLog -- The highlight of KA Day’s program is the recognition of local school children and teachers nominated for “Terrific Kids” and "Terrific Teacher" awards. Local elementary and middle schools identify the recipients of the awards. Following the event, Chick-fil-A hosts a reception for Terrific Kids, Terrific Teachers and their families.

At KA Day, each child will receive a free slice of The Original NY Pizza, a free Pelican’s SnoBall, a "Friends of Youth" raffle ticket and a lot of entertainment from vendors and F&M Entertainment’s inflatable rides. The majority of sponsorship and event funds will be used to support KA Day and Kiwanis youth initiatives in Holly Springs for 2014–2015. Youth initiatives include Key Clubs and Terrific Kids service leadership programs, and the elementary school dictionary project among others.

The Town of Holly Springs Parks and Recreation co-sponsors the event, and Holly Springs and Middle Creek High Schools' Key Clubs and the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Board help out to make it a fun event. Local vendors offer activities and freebies to the children and their families. The Holly Springs Fire and Police Departments are there too. Entertainment will include DJ Baldy and the Holly Springs School oofj of Dance.

All individuals, organizations or businesses interested in taking part in this end- of-school year community celebration are invited to sign up to be a vendor or become a sponsor of the event. Sponsor funds are welcome and encouraged! For more sponsor or vendor information and requirements, please visit, email or call 919-457-8487.
