New deal combines two diabetes and elderly care eHealth services
Swedish Diabetes Tools and Norwegian CareTech sign reseller agreement
Through today’s agreement, Diabetes Tools will offer the Triabetes™ Clinic diabetes monitoring and self-reporting cloud service as an integrated function of CareTech’s Ambient Assisted Living Technology (AALT™) platform. With Diabetes Tools’ applications for smartphones, tablets and web portals, smarter workflows can substantially reduce costs for elderly care when biometric and clinical data is shared between carers and healthcare professionals using the AALT system from CareTech.
“Diabetes is already a large part of the daily routine in elderly care, so I am pleased to expand the reach of our Triabetes service with today’s agreement with CareTech,” said Diabetes Tools’ Chief Executive Officer Anders Weilandt. “Combining our two services is exciting since together we help bridge the gap between assisted-living homecare and healthcare by making better use of digital health technology.”
“The agreement with Diabetes Tools adds value for CareTech’s customers by improving the connections between different homecare and healthcare organizations for the increasingly important area of diabetes,” said CareTech’s founder and CEO Petter Stølen. “By including Triabetes, we significantly strengthen CareTech’s assisted living offering for everyone caring for senior citizens who have diabetes.”
As the distributor, CareTech will sell the Triabetes module to elderly carein Norway and Sweden using the Arena Helse innovation network.
Both Diabetes Tools and CareTech are attending the Vitalis 2014 congress for the Scandinavian eHealth industry in Göteborg, Sweden from 8-10 April (exhibition stand B09:31).
