ACTE launch range of cellular antennas to comply with vandal and waterproof industrial ratings
Specialist Internet of Things (IoT) wireless electronics distributor, ACTE have announced the introduction of a range of antennas especially dedicated and approved for vandal resistant and high water pressure environments.
The 2J66, 2J65, 2J47 and 2J86 ranges from 2J Antennas and distributed throughout Europe by ACTE are amongst the first to meet these demanding requirements. The IK09 classification is subject to dropping a 5KG object from a 20cm height onto an antenna.
The IP69K waterproof test of the antenna is according to DIN 40050. During tests the antenna is subjected to:
· 14-16 litres water per minute
· Hot water 80˚C
· Water pressure of 8000/1000kPa
· Cycle of 30 seconds
· Water jet test performed from all directions.
Building antennas to meet the demanding test specification was initially developed for applications fitted with Machine to Machine (M2M) and IoT telemetry equipment, subject to demanding cleanliness and industrial environments. Installations including; food plants, medical equipment, roadside utility boxes and cabinets, watertight containers and trucks are all typical examples expected to see benefits.
