Lets Nurture Launches Blood Monk- An iPhone Application for Emergencies

AHMEDABAD, India - April 7, 2014 - PRLog -- We all agree that social work can really make you feel great but very few actually do something. Lets Nurture, an Ahmedabad based IT firm, decided to put their skills to use for the benefit of those around them. They have launched an iPhone application named Blood Monk that will be of great use to people who need blood urgently.

We spoke to the MD of Lets Nurture regarding the application and its functioning and he said, “A person can either register as a blood donor or look for blood donors in his/ her area. We had heard about several people who were unfortunately, unable to get blood donors in time in emergencies. So we decided to use our knowledge and resources in the field of IT to come up with Blood Monk.”

Blood Monk has three tabs for specific functions. The first 'Register Blood Monk' tab enables a person to register as a donor. If your relative wishes to be a part of this, you can register on their behalf. The 'Search Blood Monk' tab is for users who wish to look for blood donors. A person can select required blood group and location in the appropriate fields and search for donors having the same blood group located in the same area. The contact details of the donors are available and one can call, message or email the donors as needed. The 'Monks on Map' tab shows major hospitals, blood banks and Blood Monk registered donors on Google Map. A user can filter search results according to preferences.

This application can be a boon for those who might otherwise be unable to get blood urgently.
