Ryan Rice Reveals New "H.I. McDunnough" Painting

A new painting in his new series of pop culture movie stills, Ryan Rice pays tribute to Raising Arizona

DENVER - April 6, 2014 - PRLog -- Ryan Rice, a native Colorado Artist and owner of R2 Gallery has revealed a new piece in his newest series of pop culture movie stills.  Paying tribute to Pulp Fiction and The Big Lebowski, his new painting, "H.I. McDunnough" references the classic Raising Arizona.

As a fan of the Cohen Brothers movies, Rice pays tribute to it's main character played by Nicholas Cage.  "It the first Cohen Brothers movie I remember seeing at a young age. I love the movie and after doing Jules and the Big Lebowski it was a natural progression to do Nick Cage." says Rice. "The ridiculous slice of life from the Cohen Brothers movies appeals to me and my style." explains Rice.

The original painting was revealed at the R2 Gallery Opening in March 2014 and is 24"x30" and sells for $1200.

Rice and his originals from his unique style of painting from his Pun, Pi, and Pop Culture Movie Stills can be found from 10am-4pm Monday - Friday at his studio at the R2 Gallery at 4424 Tennyson Street in Denver.
