The ColorBash5K comes to Danville

LEXINGTON, Ky. - April 6, 2014 - PRLog -- NR Road Racing will hold the Color Bash 5k in Danville on Saturday April 12, 2014 at 9:00 AM to benefit  Happy Feet Equals Learning Feet. The event will be held on the  Millennium Park at 1000 Cunningham Way Danville, KY 40422. Race registration is $40 for individuals and $30 per person for teams of 4 or more. Prices will increase $5 on March 29th. There will be a $50 walk up registration fee. There will also be a family & children 1 mile fun run for $20 per person. All ages are welcome, however, anyone 6 and older must be registered. We also welcome anyone who would like to volunteer!

We take the Color Bash 5k to the next level. You will get completely covered in colorific dust with friends, family and silly strangers, while focusing more on the fun color and participating in the 5k course. Doesn’t matter how fast or old you are to participate in the color bash. The different colors are 100% natural and safe as you can eat the stuff if you want but we don’t suggest it. Wear a white shirt and prepare to get covered in color. At the end of the three mile course stay for the after party that will have music and even more color!

Happy Feet Equals Learning Feet is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing children in need with new, high quality footwear. The program was founded in 2009 by Jerry Baird, a retired coal miner from Union County, Kentucky, and is spreading across the state. A happy student is a better learner, thus, happy feet equal learning feet! The Danville-Boyle County chapter of Happy Feet Equals Learning Feet works with Danville and Boyle County schools as well as Kentucky School for the Deaf to identify children in our area that need new shoes. Funds raised in this ColorBash stay in Danville and Boyle County to directly help children in your community.
