New owner for Fabulous Women has ambitious expansion plans and promises fresh ideas

SOUTH, U.K. - April 5, 2014 - PRLog -- Jane Hardy has become the new owner of Fabulous Women, the business networking community which supports and encourages women (and men) in business, especially small business, and runs 24 monthly ‘Netwinning’ groups in the south of England.

An experienced business woman with a background in sales, finance and marketing, Jane Hardy said: “When the opportunity to take over Fabulous Women presented itself, I jumped at the chance. I love the ethos of Fabulous Women – connect, share, learn, grow and succeed - and I'm ready for a new challenge. I plan to move the organisation forward and launch more groups in Hampshire and beyond with an even stronger focus on business, providing a positive, responsive and supportive environment in which small businesses in particular can collaborate, grow and thrive.

“Among our members are many of the region’s brightest and best small business owners running a diverse range of businesses of all shapes and sizes and in many sectors. What they all have in common is inspirational women (and men) at the helm and I want Fabulous Women to play an integral part in their future successes. I have big plans for the future and one very clear objective; I want Fabulous Women to be the best business network in England, supporting business owners to collaborate, develop themselves, share their skills and contacts, and grow their businesses.”

Jane is consulting with existing members to help shape the future plans which include a redeveloped website which encourages greater inter-member communication, enhanced information sharing, access to a range of specialist support and advice services, webinars and a range of free online and affordable offline business training. New members are always welcome - a list of groups and details of forthcoming meetings can be found at www.fabulous-women.co.uk.

Jane added: “The Fabulous Women community aims to support women in win-win ways, by inspiring and motivating them, by finding practical ways to promote women in business, especially small business, while at the same time raising funds for the causes women care about by organising and hosting fundraising events. The focus is on collaboration, not competition. In our experience having good business associates with whom you can share best practise and know-how, advise and motivate each other, and raise problems to be solved, leads to mutually beneficial relationships out of which referrals and sales naturally emerge.”

Jane has been associated with Fabulous Women since its inception two years ago, first as a member, then progressing to Ambassador (group leader) after six months and latterly becoming Regional Director a year ago. Jane has now purchased the Fabulous Women name and intellectual property from its founder, Paullette Schwartz, and has set up a new company to run it. Jane (52) lives in Woking with her husband and two cats, and is the Vice Chair of the Woking branch of the Federation of Small Business.

There are 24 Fabulous Women groups across the south and south east with 2000 members. The organisation spans Hampshire, Berkshire, London, Surrey, Sussex and Buckinghamshire, and further counties in the pipeline.
