April 5, 2014 - PRLog -- In a radical departure from what has been available until now, New Zealand based Rixen has released a purpose designed pedal enclosure kit for musical instrument effects.

By using the many circuit designs for both new and classic effects now available on the internet, home builders and small manufacturers can now build a truely professional pedal, with features previously only available to high volume manufacturers.

The pedal is designed to operate either a 3PDT or 4PDT switch as favoured by many guitar effects enthusiasts, and the standard kit includes a high quality 4PDT latching switch with gold plated contacts.

One of the many features is an integrated compartment for a 9V battery that can be easily accessed by simply lifting and sliding open the hinge of the pedal.

Manufactured in New Zealand from sturdy die-cast aluminium, the kit comes complete with all the hardware required to complete an enclosure, including rubber feet.

An optional prototyping PCB makes a complete pedal build easy.

Available in bare aluminium ($USD 36.95) or  'Black Granite', 'Sky Blue' or 'Emerald Green' powder coat ($USD 46.90). Prices exclude shipping.
