NEW YORK, March 21, 2014 - On Thursday, April 24th, celebrity real estate agent and owner of MRA Productions, Rene Abdo presents Work Hard, Play Hard, Give Hard, a fundraiser and donation drive to benefit the Food Bank For New York City (http://www.foodbanknyc.org/), and The Bowery Mission (http://www.bowery.org/).  Ms. Abdo created the annual charity event after seeing first-hand the need for more fortunate New Yorkers to contribute to helping fight hunger in the city.  The event will take place at Salon de Lafayette (https://www.facebook.com/salondelafayette), a new one of a kind bi-level eatery in Soho.  In addition to a silent auction, a portion of proceeds from a seated dinner, and cocktail hour will benefit the Food Bank For New York City, and The Bowery Mission.

Work Hard, Play Hard, Give Hard will showcase the uniqueness of the five boroughs; Brooklyn, Manhattan, The Bronx, Queens and Staten Island.  he event will consist of a sit down dinner, cocktail party, and silent auction. All auction items will be New York City centric, or from local businesses. The entertainment throughout the evening will include comedian Charlie Wilson, Kenny Defrost and live vocalists Hollywood & Chenzira during dinner, and DJs Lufresh, Mista Mista Ian Jay and Rest during the cocktail hour.

Hunger in New York City

New York City is one of the wealthiest cities in the United States.  However, not all New Yorkers benefit from the city’s affluence;
