Canadian Ad Writer Davis Gravelsins Pioneers New Form of Political Poetry Called Polimerick

Frustrated with the Millennial Generation's lack of political awareness longtime advertising copy writer and idea man Davis Gravelsins is giving rappers and journalists alike a run for their money with a new form of politicized poetry
WINDSOR, Ontario - April 4, 2014 - PRLog -- Reviving the limerick – a once popular literary genre often referred to as the lowest form of poetry – Gravelsins infuses his work with political satire dealing with current events and combines it with images on his new dedicated website

“Jay Z and Drake may have a monopoly on my kid's playlists.” Explains Gravelsins. “But their social and political messages tend to be overshadowed by personal experience rather than bigger, more important issues like intolerance, corruption and violence which affect us all. So I'm trying to open some younger eyes with rap-like rhymes, humor and pictures they can relate to.

Gravelsins posts a new polimerick on his web sight every day or two and currently has hundreds of visitors to his site from all over the world. He is unable to assess the average age of his audience, but hopes that younger Canadian web 4.0 types are among his growing list of followers.

Once Gravelsins reaches a critical mass of ten thousand visitors and attracts more attention from content syndicators and distributors, he plans to produce video polimericks with a dedicated YouTube channel and full social media posting and distribution.
