MOBILE, Ala. - April 3, 2014 - PRLog -- Mobile, AL. 54-56 St. Emanuel Street in downtown Mobile will become home to Red Square Gaming/RSQ and NAI-Mobile in April.  Construction on this historic renovation final phase is managed by Odom Architects, PC, of Mobile.  The two-story, 20,000 sf office building project included total renovation, upgrades and enhancements.

Odom Architects leveraged the building’s character – an historic exposed-brick and wood beam structure – with a predominately open office plan on the second floor with frosted glass office fronts along the perimeter.  Natural light combined with daylight harvesting features, crisp lines and clean aesthetic create a professional working environment that seamlessly blends old and new to reflect the bold and diverse brand of Red Square Gaming/RSQ who is moving from their current location at 202 Government Street.

“Through an industrial palette of grays, metals and unique detailing, the design captures the company’s core values – creative, bold, stylish, engaging. Public spaces are planned to accommodate “creative” activity,” said Angie Odom, the company’s principal. “During “work” hours the two-story space supports a coffee bar, social bar as well a gymnasium reflecting its entrepreneurial spirit, facilitating communication and the firm’s “experimental” work style,” Odom said.

The design concept for NAI-Mobile, a real estate firm serving the business community of southern Alabama and the central Gulf Coast, focuses on various connections central to the firm’s philosophy. Sustainable reclaimed materials connect the new space and the building’s rich history, and an eclectic mix of found objects reflect the variety of individuals, clients and processes that comprise this company.

Odom Architects was involved in the 2009 renovation of 202 Government Street building for Red Square Gaming/RSQ. Established in 2007, the firm’s resume ranges from the planning and design of office buildings, outparcel development, warehouse projects to interior remodels, renovations and additions for educational, business, retail, private sector and restaurant clients.

Principal Angie Odom received the Greene Award for Architecture in 2012 from the Boston Architectural College.
