SMART Recovery Announces Mid-America Website Now Available

MENTOR, Ohio - April 4, 2014 - PRLog -- The Mid-America Region of SMART Recovery® announces its Regional website is now available at http://www.smartrecoverymidamer.org.

SMART Recovery, the leading self-empowering addiction recovery support group, offers tools for overcoming addiction based on the latest scientific research and is now doing so in more and more cities and towns and online via the www.

The Mid-America Region encompasses AR, KS, MO, NE, and OK. Meetings are posted on the website and contacts within the Region.

SMART Recovery has reached over 1000 meetings via a distance training program (in the US, UK and AU) for group Facilitators, information is available on its website regarding how to start meetings, and outreach efforts through various social networks.

SMART Recovery meetings consist of various activities and a wide variety of tools are provided within the 4-Point Program^® that includes maintaining motivation, coping with urges, emotional upsets, etc. are discussed and then practiced by participants.

In addition to a growing number of face-to-face community meetings, daily online meetings are also available. All are welcome to train to help facilitate SMART meetings – available for individuals who have struggled with addictions, treatment professionals, and the general public who has a desire to provide a helpful service to their community.
