Spring football is about to crank up, it’s time for the sophomore and junior athletes to begin thinking about their collegiate future.
There are over 200,000 potential college athletes registering each year for their NCAA Eligibility and every year many of these athletes will wait till the 10th hour before they realize what needs to be done. I recommend to all my parents and athletes it is best to create your account during the summer of your junior or senior year to avoid getting caught in the backlog of athletes trying to get cleared at the end of the school year. Once your account is created, you will have several more steps to complete, which will include submitting your transcripts, test scores and answering an amateur status questionnaire before you are finished. The process can be a little stressful at times but hang in there. Just remember, if you have a dream to play NCAA colligate football or any other college sports at the DI or DII level, you will need to register and be cleared by the NCAA. The Eligibility Center is the organization within the NCAA that determines the academic eligibility and amateur status for all NCAA DI and DII athletes.
Good Luck and Best Wishes
