HOUSTON - April 3, 2014 - PRLog -- Join us on Saturday, April 19th 2014, 2-6PM at the Hardy and Nance Studios, as a group show of up to 40 artists display their work for their public in a square format. Artists that are interested in submitting to this event should download the prospectus on our website under "Call to Artists."

This exhibit will be juried by Mel Loew, Josh Urban Davis and Stäcy Smith. This call for entries is open to all artists in Houston and surrounding areas working in 2D media in a square format. Up to forty (40) 2D works in a square format will be accepted and shown in our community gallery space. Artists handle all sales, no commission is taken. Artists should deliver up to three (3) pieces to Hardy & Nance Studios, Studio #17 on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 between the hours of 4PM- 8PM. The Opening Reception for the “Squared Up” show is free and open to the public, and coincides with our 3rd Saturday Open Studios where you can browse and buy the works of some of your favorite Houston based artists such as Alex Barber, Lee Carrier, Curtis Christianson, Em Connor, Allison Currie, Anne Marie D’Arcy, Theresa Escobeto, Bryan Forrester, Jamey Franklin, Justin Garcia, Tina Higgins, Kenneth Hudson, Naz Kaya-Erdal, Galina Kurlat, Pizo Meyer, Katy McCormick, Penny McDonald, Rob McDonald, Diane Nickerson, Jamie Nickerson, Lizbeth Ortiz, Jason Ransom, Claire Richards, Dana Frazier Samuelson, Stäcy Smith, and Julie Zarate.

The Opening Reception for the “Squared Up” show is free and open to the public! Diane Nickerson will be offering her latest oil painting "Merge with Me," for $10.00 raffle tickets.
