The Expanding Impact of EPR Fee Paying Obligations

April 2, 2014 - PRLog -- We are just coming out of an intense EPR filing and audit season.  With the advent of the WEEE Recast and the increasing global adoption of Packaging, WEEE, and Battery tax and fee paying obligations, Foresite is pleased to announce our forthcoming program on global EPR.  In furtherance of this effort Foresite will be offering a complimentary program hosted by one of our resident EPR experts, Emma Stowe.

Those of us working with Packaging, WEEE and Battery obligation reporting recognize both the strenuous nature of accurate reporting and the tenuous nature of the level of data required to full-fill basic declaration obligations.  However, rather than a decrease in effort, the escalating rigor of audits and increase in the sheer number of countries that now impose taxation and fee paying obligations has placed an ever intensifying burden on the limited resources capable and available to handle these issues.

In an effort to support your continued efforts to administer and manage EPR obligations, Foresite is offering a complementary webinar on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, 8:00-9:00AM PDT (11:00-12:00PM EDT, 4:00-5:00PM GMT) that will provide you with a roadmap for you to developing an integrated, flexible Global Environmental Management System.  The focus of this program will be to help you understand, forecast, and alleviate the budget expenses associated with an increasing number of fee paying obligations.

During the session, we will:

• Highlight the critical aspects of the EU WEEE Recast and how it will impact global corporations in 2014.

• The continued escalation in obligations associated with global packaging and battery reporting and fee paying obligations.

• The essential requirements doctrine and the potential liabilities with inaccurate packaging declarations in Europe.

• Key markets, for example, Australia, the United States, South America, the Middle East, and Africa, where EPR regulations are being adopted and how they will impact you supply chain in the near future.
