Veteran Washington Journalist, Columnist, and Author Cal Thomas to Speak at April 12 Atlantic Chris

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, N.J. - April 2, 2014 - PRLog -- SOMERS POINT – America’s number one syndicated columnist Cal Thomas will be the keynote speaker at Atlantic Christian School’s inaugural “Legacy Gala” on Saturday, April 12 from 6:30-9:00 p.m. at the Greate Bay Country Club in Somers Point.

“The Gala is an opportunity to bring an influential journalist and author to our area to talk about his life experience as a Christian working in the national media and the kind of legacy he wants to leave,” said Karen Newman Oblen, Interim Chief School Administrator.

Atlantic Christian School has a strong 43-year history of providing quality Christian education to students in southern New Jersey and the Gala is a fund-raiser that will help advance the school’s educational programs.

“The Gala is an important fundraiser for our school, but it is also a way that we can make a difference in our community by promoting life-changing Christian values and principles,” Oblen said. “Cal Thomas is a dynamic speaker and he will encourage and inspire us to focus our lives on making an impact in this world for good,” Oblen said.

Thomas is a 35-year media veteran, based out of Washington, DC, who has worked for NBC, CNBC, PBS, and is a political commentator on Fox News. During his remarks at the Gala he will also be giving insight into his new book released this month entitled, “What Works: Common Sense Solutions to the Nation’s Problems.” Copies of his book will be available at the Gala. Thomas is also the co-author with Bob Beckel of “Common Ground: How to Stop the Partisan War that is Destroying America.”

The Gala is open to the public and tickets are $125 per person or $225 per couple. Tickets can be purchased online at www.acseht.org or by calling the school office at 609-653-1199.
