The screening will be held on Thursday, April 24, at 6:00 pm at the DePaul University College of Communications, 14 E Jackson Blvd, LL102, in Chicago. A reception with “Maximum Tolerated Dose” director Karol Orzechowski will follow. This event is offered at no charge, however advance registration is requested as seating is limited. “Maximum Tolerated Dose” features the hauntingly honest testimony of scientists and lab technicians whose ethics demanded they choose a different path, as well as the simultaneously heartwarming and heartbreaking stories of animals who have seen both sides of the cage. By bringing these rarely-heard perspectives to the forefront, the film aims to re-ignite the debate over animal testing. The film was named “Best Feature, Animal Advocacy” at the 2013 Artivist Film Festival in Hollywood, California, and was awarded the 2012 Lush Prize for Public Awareness in support of animal-free testing. It has also been named as an Official Selection at film festivals in the United States, Canada and Indonesia. To register for this free event, visit http://maximumtolerateddose.eventbrite.com or call 800-888-NAVS (6287).
