Horton Group To Host Nonprofit Forum Focused On Social Enterprise

CHICAGO - April 1, 2014 - PRLog -- The Horton Group announced the addition of a new nonprofit forum, Social Enterprise: Money on a Mission.  The event is to be held on Friday, May 23^rd, 9:00AM at Horton’s Orland Park office located at 10320 Orland Parkway. NonProfit professionals may attend the event free of cost.

Social Enterprise: Money on a Mission – NonProfit Forum Spring 2014 will feature executive leadership from North Lawndale Employment Network, Aspire and The Cara Program. Participants will have the chance to hear about the successful social enterprises these organizations have started, see their products and services and submit questions to the panelists about their social enterprise ventures.  Participants are also encouraged to learn from each other, make connections and collaborate on new ideas.

The forum will feature NonProfits that have successfully launched nationally-recognized social enterprises.  Speakers for the featured topics include Brenda Palms Barber, Executive Director, North Lawndale Employment Network / Sweet Beginnings LLC, James Kales, President and CEO, Aspire / Aspire CoffeeWorks and Maria Kim, President and CEO, The Cara Program / cleanslate and chapter two.
