PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - March 31, 2014 - PRLog -- Hospital administrators, healthcare providers, clinicians, insurance agents and brokers, medical tourism facilitators and travel and hospitality agents seeking advanced education and training can learn the merits of health travel certification during a free webcast, “What’s the Value of Certification in Medical Tourism Industry,” hosted by the Medical Tourism Association®, Wednesday, April 2, 2014, 10 a.m. (EST).

“The medical tourism industry is where it is today, in good part, due to ground-breaking decisions and efforts made on the backs of healthcare providers, doctors, facilitators, and forward-thinking business leaders, among many others,” said Renée-Marie Stephano, president of the Medical Tourism Association®. “But despite the rapid expansion, trial-and-error – at the risk of enormous consequence -- has been the best and, sadly, the only teacher. The good news is that there are now experienced professionals who are available to convey their expertise and provide advanced education and training by way of tailored medical tourism certification programs.”

This webcast will demonstrate how Certified International Patient Specialist® (CIPS) and Certified Medical Travel Specialist® (CMTS) certifications set industry professionals apart from international competitors and communicates to employers, healthcare providers, insurers and industry counterparts a specialized expertise and commitment to sound and trusted industry practices.

Participants in the webcast will be versed on the value of best practices in the implementation, communication and engagement of medical tourism activities and come to understand how certification can expand career opportunities and enhance prospects for job promotion.

To qualify for Certified International Patient Specialist® certification an individual must maintain three years designation as a Certified Medical Travel Specialist® or have three years of sufficient experience in the medical tourism industry.
