Think IT Association To Host First Annual Charity Golf Tournament for Genesys Works

Funds raised will benefit disadvantaged high school students’ professional development

March 31, 2014 - PRLog -- Minneapolis, MN (March 30, 2014)- Think IT Association today announced it will host a charity golf event benefitting Genesys Works, a not-for-profit organization that helps inner-city Twin Cities high school students discover they can succeed in a corporate world by providing meaningful work experience. The event will take place Monday, June 30th at the Minneapolis Golf Club.

The event will include lunch, a round of golf, and a dinner banquet with keynote speaker Jeff Tollefson, Executive Director at Genesys Works. Throughout the day, people will be able to participate in multiple raffles and contests, including a hole-in-one contest to win a new car.

“There is absolutely no doubt that Genesys Works has already positively impacted thousands of young lives and we are proud to play a very small part in that,” said Richard Walker, Chairman and President of Think IT. “Our golf event is a celebration and a fundraiser to recognize all the hard working people at Genesys Works and help generate new relationships and opportunities for all who support this event."

There are a variety of golf and sponsorship opportunities available to accommodate anyone who would like to participate. Sponsorships range from: single players, $300; 4 player team, $1,200; Gold Corporate Sponsorship, $10,000; Silver Corporate Sponsorship, $5,000; Bronze Corporate Sponsorship, $3,000; and hole sponsorship, $500.

The Minneapolis Golf Club is considered one of the most prestigious clubs in Minnesota. This private, member-owned club is located about seven miles outside of downtown Minneapolis.
