GoCan Drainer, Kickstarter Campaign for an Innovative New Kitchen Utensil

You probably have tried to drain a can of beans, tuna, or vegetables using a large bulky colander, which is messy and inefficient, or tried to drain the liquid without a colander, and spilled half the contents in the sink. Even worse, you may have cut your hand tryinIndustrial Designer Jim Costello has come up with an innovative way to drain vegetables, beans, fruit, and tuna from cans without bulky colanders. It is a stylish fashion-forward uteg to squeeze out the last bit of oil from a tuna can. With the GoCan Drainer, messy and awkward can draining is a thing of the past with an easy one-handed method that keeps the contents in the can, and requires little clean-up.
The new GoCan Drainer brings the strainer to the can. You have an elegant device that simply clips to your can, allows you to drain the liquid with one hand, and then simply remove the GoCan Drainer and pour your vegetables, fruit, beans, or tuna into a dish.
The designer, Jim Costello, is launching a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter.  He is seeking $29,000 to fund the project’s injection molding tooling and initial production of the finished product.  Kickstarter supporters of the GoCan Drainer will receive a set of GoCan Drainers for a $25.00 pledge.

Jim Costello graduated from the prestigious Domus Academy in Milan, Italy with a Master of Industrial Design.  He then went on to lead Igloo's Industrial Design Department into the 21st century.  His work included such innovative products as the Cool Roller and Wheelie Cool, the first coolers with wheels, the Spacemate eco-friendly refrigerator, and the Playmate personal coolers. Today he heads up Costello Design in Oregon designing and developing new products.
