HamletHub Adding Trumbull as Latest City in Its Roster of Hyperlocal News Sites
Trumbull resident Aaron Leo has agreed to become the editor of Trumbull HamletHub.
HamletHub launched the first local news “Hub” in Ridgefield in 2009 with a mission to make the world better, one HamletHub at a time. HamletHub won a prestigious Connecticut Press Club Award in 2012, 2013, and earned 6 awards in 2014 including Best Website.
Hamlethub sites differ from other media outlets based on their focus on the needs of the community including its residents as well as the organizations and businesses that make up the fabric of the town.
Trumbull HamletHub offers a unique opportunity for these groups to have a voice in their community, either by submitting articles to the site as a local resident, or by participating in the site’s unique Article Membership service for businesses, giving them an unprecedented opportunity to tell their story and to differentiate themselves in the marketplace.
Aaron Leo has lived in Trumbull with his family since 2005. As a journalist for more than 15 years, he has covered southern Connecticut, most recently as local editor for Trumbull Patch. He also worked for nine years at the Connecticut Post Newspaper.
He has lived in southern Connecticut most of his life.
Readers, contributors and advertisers will benefit from a direct line to their neighbors, and the organizations, who are the heart of the community that make Trumbull a vibrant community and the gateway to Fairfield County.
