OAK RIDGE, Tenn. - March 29, 2014 - PRLog -- As part of a $6 million expansion, Oak Ridge, Tenn.-based 4 Final Finish (4FF) installed a state-of-the-art anodizing and electro-polishing line, bringing unique finishing capabilities to the region. Used for finishing metals, the new anodizing equipment at 4 Final Finish increases the company's output by four times its previous capacity, while maintaining an environmentally friendly process .

"We invested $1 million dollars into our new finishing line allowing 4FF to innovate with new chemistries and techniques to deliver striking finishes that possess exceptional quality and value,” said Brandon O'Connor, who managed the expansion for 4FF.

The new 4FF processing equipment, manufactured by Technic  Inc. (Cranston, RI), transforms the metal’s surface to provide greater wear and corrosion resistance. For 4FF customers in the marine, medical, aerospace and automotive industries, anodizing and electro-polishing is a critical part of the finishing process for their final products.

"The new equipment installed by 4FF demonstrates vision, confidence and foresight," said Claude Noiseux of Technics. "The new production process will allow for greater process control and higher throughput. 4FF management recognizes the rapidly growing anodizing market and has positioned itself well to meet the current and future needs."

4 Final Finish serves customers throughout the Southeast, including many of East Tennessee's largest, most recognizable manufacturers. Known since the 1990s for its professional engineering and process management teams, 4FF partners with manufacturers to maximize performance characteristics while keeping a close eye on economics. 4FF has strong relationships in the marine, automotive, electronics, defense, energy, architectural, medical, aerospace and sporting goods markets.

Finishing options from 4FF include brushed, bead blasted or polished, with clear or colored anodizing. 4FF has perfected the electro-polishing process to deliver consistent results with its proprietary Electrobrite ™ process.  The 4FF Electrobrite ™ was developed for superior corrosion resistance properties while providing a lustrous surface.

4FF has the capacity for both high volume production as well as specialized smaller production projects. The company will customize the finish and shine according to customer needs - from matte to high sheen.  The sophisticated finishing process complements the professional engineering staff and an extensive CNC production operation leveraged by clients requiring these services.
