-- Man Of The Hour brings you another mixed drink, or four.
Brandy has a long history, today you can find it straight or in many mixed drinks. Brandy is the common name for Brandywine, which is a distilled wine that has been widely consumed since at least the 14th century. Brandy as we know it came about when regular wine was distilled as a way of preserving it, presumably to make it easier for merchants to transport. Setting aside the history lesson, Man Of The Hour shows you how to mix brandy into a few well-known drinks, for those of you who don't drink it straight. We will feature recipes for widely known drinks such as metropolitans, and a few lesser known mixed drinks such as an Adam and Eve, Port Washington Flip and an American Beauty.
