Dream On Ice Cream Music Festival Debuts in Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH - March 28, 2014 - PRLog -- Omicelo and Dream Cream Ice Cream present DreamOn Pittsburgh, the first ever ice cream music festival, April 11-13, 2014 in Pittsburgh, PA.

DreamOn Pittsburgh takes over Market Square, in the center of downtown Pittsburgh,  to present 25 musical acts and 75 flavors of Dream Cream Ice Cream. The 3-day weekend event is a celebration of Pittsburgh's best homegrown talent and an opportunity to support 75 local dreamers in the Most Livable City!

The headlining act, Grammy-nominated duo The Foreign Exchange, will perform a FREE concert on opening night following an exclusive pre-concert red carpet film screening of The End Again, starring Columbus Short and Tanee McCall-Short. The R&B group will join the filmmakers for a post-film talk back session at Wood Street Galleries.

The festival features performances by 28 North; Formula 412; Ben O’Neill; Mic Blaque; DJ Nate da Barber; Chet Vincent & the Big Bend; DJ Chevy; ArinMaya; Rivka; Paul Luc; Groove Aesthetic; Smooth Tutors; Tracksploitation; DJ Zan Naz; Joel Ansett; Jasmine Tate; DJ Big Dose; Emily Rodgers; Vie Boheme; Falling Andes; DJ Beauty & the Beatz; Water Seed; Mount Ararat Baptist Church Praise Team and more!

Pittsburgh natives like HBO's Boardwalk Empire star Margot Bingham, model Tunisha Hubbard and comedian J. Russ are confirmed to host the Festival along with Wendy Heimann, of Nolan Heimann LLP. Pittsburgh’s own Emmy-award winning filmmaker, Emmai Alaquiva, of Ya Momz House, will capture the entire festival on film for live-stream access at www.omicelo.com.

In addition to exposing undeniably great musical acts, the festival aims to make a positive impact in the community. Ice cream customers will designate 25% of their purchase to 1 of the 75 local causes, or dreams! Whether supporting a musical act in the festival lineup, non-profits like Bati which is raising funds to build an elementary school in Haiti or individuals like Frank & Christine, who are raising funds for their wedding, residents can enjoy 75 custom ice cream flavors and the satisfaction of supporting Pittsburgh’s dreams.

In tandem with the community building vision that the DreamOn Pittsburgh Festival is catalyzing the event will feature a social media wall that integrates all filtered Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Vine posts for a digitally enhanced experience. Festival attendees are encouraged to join the conversation via #DreamOnFest to connect with the talent, share personal highlights and help their favorite band win the title of “Band of the Year.” Plus, to ensure that all festival goers have ‘the best seat in the house,’ all performances and festival highlights will be shown on a hi-definition 12'x16' LED TV and two 55" super televisions inside the square.
