Magikid Showcases Best-selling Magikid Numbers at Macworld
Magikid Numbers was first released on iOS in November 2013. It quickly became a best-seller in Europe and Asia, and has been downloaded over 200,000 times, reaching the Top Ten Kid’s Apps in 22 countries.
Magikid Numbers is a story-based game for kids ages 3-5. The Kingdom of Numbers has been taken over by an evil wizard and he has imprisoned the beloved king. Kids join the out-going prince and his best friend, the wizard on their first day of school; they embark on a quest to save the king and learn everything they can about math.
“We wanted to be at Macworld because Education & Kids are huge categories in the App Store that can sometimes be ignored at tech conferences,”
“We create comprehensive kids apps that kids use daily over long periods of time, weeks or even months,” Hurley says. “We’ve take inspiration from textbooks, school curriculums, and TV shows to make products that kids want to keep using and that parents like because of proven educational value. I think that there is still huge room for growth in the Kids category.”
Magikid Numbers is available on the App Store. Free with a single $3.99 in-app purchase to unlock all the books. Recommended for kids aged 3-6.
