Teens Take to Camp! #SummerCampSolTaplin

NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. - March 26, 2014 - PRLog -- In its efforts to keep its long-standing record of being rated one of the best summer camps in Miami-Dade County for kids ages 2 ½ to 15, and address the popular trends of the city’s “Teens & Tweens,” the MAR-JCC’s Camp Sol Taplin will offer exciting, fast-paced Extreme & Teen Travel Camps designed specifically for today’s pre-teen and teenage campers. “We’re reshaping the day-camp scene with awesome activities, amazing long-distance trips, and thrilling adventures, commented Neal Buchholz, Camp Sol Taplin Director.

Additionally, we are presently registering teens who are interested in participating in the JCC Maccabi Games in Cherry Hill, New Jersey,” Neal adds.

Camp Sol Taplin will offer such Camps as “Extreme Adventure,” where daily activities include kayaking, rock climbing, scuba & snorkeling, go-carting and much more for tweens entering grades 5-7. Highlighting each 4-week session of camp is an extended trip where for Session 1, Extreme Adventurers will go on a 5-day/4-night “All Florida Theme Park Adventure,” and Session 2 campers will experience a 7-day/6-night sleep-away camp adventure at Camp Livingston in Cincinnati. In “Teen Travel,” for teens entering grades 7-9, campers in session 1 will take a 4-night/5-day cruise to the Caribbean, and during session 2 will go on a fantastic road trip to the Carolinas, highlighted by amusement parks, white river rafting, zip-lining and more! The “Teen Scene” on campus is enhanced by activities such as gaming, music, fitness, nutrition workshops, community service projects, and more. For those teens entering grades 9-10, who are seeking community service hours while enjoying a summer camp experience, developing leadership skills, and a knowledge of working with children, the Madatzim Program is the perfect fit. As junior leaders, Madatzim campers develop counseloring skills through on-the-job training in addition to leadership development workshops with trained professionals.
