MANHATTAN, N.Y. - March 26, 2014 - PRLog -- Maximizing Social Media, On Its Own Terms     Rexcheck, the open real estate video-viewing app for mobile devices, prides itself on being at the forefront of current developments—especially when it comes to new ways for helping realtors and home sellers close deals. Its founder, Nii Addo, refers to his innovation as a “smarter real estate technology for smart phones”, designed to aid and expedite the home-buying process.  And now, Rexcheck will be increasing its potential as a real estate power tool by putting a greater number of sharing sites—Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Instagram—to work, for buyers, agents, and sellers alike.

By its very nature, social media would seem to be custom-made for the real estate business.  But Addo understands that on many networking sites, advertising properties for sale, or conducting just about any type of business, is usually seen as an uncomfortable fit, or an unwelcome intrusion. To overcome these objections, Rexcheck adapts itself, like a chameleon, to the inherent functions of each individual platform.  To give just one example, Rexcheck dovetails with trending Facebook topics that are likely to generate an organic interest in an area’s local real estate market.  In response to the upcoming World Cup tournament, starting this March, they will stream videos of open houses from São Paolo, Florianópolis, and Rio de Janeiro.

Greater Potential for Closing Deals     Having a video presentation of salable properties at everyone’s disposal is clearly advantageous for all concerned.  Buyers save endless hours of travelling pointlessly from one unsuitable possibility to another, sometimes encouraged by potentially misleading photographs.  Realtors, required by their business to be constantly in transit, can make more efficient use of their mobile phones.  And sellers can broaden their potential audience, even internationally, attracting more informed prospects who are that much closer to a decision to buy.

In addition, if so desired, live house tours can be arranged via FaceTime.  At this point in time, Rexcheck users are video blogging from New York; the “Jersey Gold Coast” cities of Hoboken, Weehawken, and Jersey City; Miami; and Chicago.  Rexcheck is also in the process of establishing itself outside the U.S., with users in cities like Bogotá.

Coming in the near future will be an even larger array of devices and applications, including Apple TV, chromecast, kindle fire, XBOX 360, and more.

“The Real Estate World Changed, and We Changed With It”     Rexcheck was established by Addo in Chicago in 2007 as a production company for online real estate videos.  By 2008, operations extended into Washington D.C.  But then, as Addo says, “The real estate world changed—it became easier for people to make their own videos, and we realized the need was now having places to show them.”  And so, Addo focused his attention on developing an application that would take full advantage of everything mobile devices have to offer, while still being a good neighbor.

“Real estate agents are by definition mobile,” he continues, “so this is one business where it really made sense.  Rexcheck is the only app of its type available.  It creates the perfect intersection to begin a conversation regarding a property.”
