Classic Diners of Connecticut- A Book Signing and Discussion with Author Garrison Leykam

In this entertaining discussion author Garrison Leykam will highlight some of the most prized classic American diners in Connecticut at the Oliver Wolcott Library on Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 7:00- 8:00 p.m.
 
LITCHFIELD, Conn. - March 25, 2014 - PRLog -- With over twenty thousand miles of highways and main streets, Connecticut hosts more than 100 diners that invite hungry travelers throughout the tri-state area.  In this entertaining discussion author Garrison Leykam will highlight some of the most prized classic American diners in Connecticut that were manufactured by such legendary builders as Deaffele, O’Mahony, Tierney and Kullman.  Join him as he hosts a road trip to these diners by sharing the history, stories, and local recipes that celebrate this unique slice of Americana.

Garrison Leykam is recognized as a groundbreaker in reality TV as host and producer of the show Diners that aired on Connecticut Public Television.  The show followed Garrison and bikers chosen from open auditions who shared his passions for motorcycles and diners as they rode to classic neon and chrome eateries.  Earlier in his career he was a producer, engineer, artist and repertoire scout for London records and worked in various capacities with The Rolling Stones, The Moody Blues, Al Green, Van Morrison and others.  Visit his website at www.thosedinerandmotorcycleguys.com.
