Israeli Start Up is Looking for Logistics Heroes

In order to promote technological advances in logistics, a creative Israeli Start Up will be actively looking for “Heroes” to champion better security and visibility for shipping containers. Search commences at Intermodal Asia 2014 conference.

SHANGHAI - March 23, 2014 - PRLog -- Much had been said about the lack of shipping containers’ security and visibility. Although technology had advanced tremendously over the past decades, it seems that shipping containers were left behind. Containers still get lost, stolen, and broken into – without a shred of information ever arriving to the rest of the logistics chain.

One Israeli Start Up company has been working diligently to find a solution to the lack of information and security in shipping containers. Appropriately titled “Loginno Logistic Innovation” ( http://www.loginno.com ), the start up is approaching the challenge from a very interesting point of view: “Instead of giving logistics companies and cargo owners an ‘overkill’ security system”, says Shachar Tal, Loginno CEO, “we supply them with something cost effective enough to purchase without burdening your budget, but powerful enough to deliver a great deal of information you never had before: first and foremost knowing instantly whether someone opened the container, or just moved it, together with location reporting and other sensory inputs like on-line temperature data. All this in a small, cheap and invisible package.”

The device itself is cleverly designed in a way which blends completely with the container, making it impossible for thieves to detect it. In addition, it serves as a “black box” to supply post-event information about what exactly happened in a given time. Such information is priceless for both cargo owners and their insurance companies.

To start spreading out the word throughout the Logistics world, Loginno has chosen its first concentrated public showcase to be in this April, during the Intermodal Asia 2014 conference at the Shanghai Expo, April 1-3 ( http://www.intermodal-asia.com ). “We have printed and will distribute thousands of invitations, all titled ‘Heroes needed! Apply in booth G41’, rejoices David Noy, Loginno’s V.P. of operations and a renowned security expert by himself, “When people would come to our booth, we have prepared a small surprise, which will put them in a situation where they can actually experience what it feels like to rescue valuable cargo from theft. It’s going to be both fun and informative.”

With that in mind, we hope Loginno’s efforts will bear fruit over the years, and help the logistics world become safer and more visible.
