Juan Ramon Zarco, Founding Partner, to Join International Panel on Silicon Valley Ecosystem
Juan Ramon Zarco will be addressing international early stage Portuguese companies and foreign investors on the Silicon Valley Ecosystem on what are the criteria for attracting investment, establishing U.S. operations, and hiring local talent.
Based on his work with many international early stage technology companies entering the U.S. markets, he will be presenting on the current investment trends, U.S. compliance, pitchdeck process, minimum revenue models for various VC firms, developing technologies, and future trends for international early stage companies coming to Silicon Valley, which seek capital, need to establish U.S. presence and will hire local talent. Many points are addressed in his blog: jrzarco2001.wordpress.com.
International early stage or technology companies intend to visit Silicon Valley to buid distribution channels or raise capital. Many are not aware of the expectations of Silicon Valley venture and investment firms, with regard to pitchdeck preparations, local legal compliance, or U.S. marketing through several channels.
VC firms view over 200 business plans a week. The competition to even be invited by a VC firm is so severe that pitchdecks, which are poorly prepared documentation and lack a respectable legal infrastructure, will most likely be rejected -- close to 90% of the plans received are discarded on initial review.
Rather than spending thousands of dollars on intrenational travel to return empty handed, it behooves international technology companies to be prepared prior to visiting SIlicon Valley.
