Uniserve protects Ann Summers with an ancient warrior

On 12th February 2014 Uniserve presented Ann Summers with a unique life size Terracotta Warrior as a sign of appreciation for the award of their supply chain contract.

March 20, 2014 - PRLog -- The warrior was initially presented to the Chairman of Ann Summers, David Gold and the Head of Logistics, John Waldock by Uniserve’s Managing Director Iain Liddell, Gary Cobbing (GTM Director) and Craig Johnson (GTM Client Manager) at David’s home in Surrey. After the presentation, the warrior was then moved to Ann Summers head quarters in Whyteleaf Surrey, where it was put on prominent display for both staff and visitors to see.

Uniserve were awarded Ann Summers supply chain contract in November 2013, following a highly competitive tender process against a number of other major carriers.

Head of logistics at Ann Summers, John Waldock commented, “Alongside reviewing the most cost efficient freight pricing model, Ann Summers were also evaluating ongoing potential in our supply chain partner. Uniserve were most definitely a partner that demonstrated capability but they were also able to demonstrate an ongoing vision of operational excellence while unlocking potential within the Ann summers supply chain. This was key to highlighting the fact that we could work and grow together, in a collaboration that would benefit the Ann Summers customer.”

Uniserve’s Gary Cobbing added “We have moved through the implementation process and are now very much into the supply chain improvements stage with Ann Summers. We like to present our customers with the warriors as a sign of our appreciation and long term commitment to their contract”.

“Uniserve’s Global Trade Management division are currently working very closely with Ann Summers to re-design their supply chain, identifying opportunities to provide innovative solutions to improve efficiency,   visibility and reduce overall supply chain cost.  Uniserve are working through a structured programme of developments, which will deliver huge benefits to Ann Summers business going forward.”
