PALM BEACH, Fla. - March 19, 2014 - PRLog -- The Colony Hotel's Royal Room Presents Legendary Folksinger JUDY COLLINS, March 25-29

(Palm Beach, FL - March 18, 2014) The Colony Hotel - which The Palm Beach Post has hailed as “probably the best place for cabaret on the planet” – is continuing its star-studded season with the Royal Room debut of a legendary folksinger:

March 25-29
JUDY COLLINS
Legendary singer Judy Collins has been a concert headliner since her first hit “Both Sides Now” back in 1967. From her early days as a guitar playing folk singer in Greenwich Village, Collins was hailed by critics and fans alike for her “clear, crisp soprano voice” that made her record albums such as A Maid of Constant Sorrows and Wildflower so memorable, and her version of both “Amazing Grace” and “Send In the Clowns” were both big hits. The author of several books – Sanity and Grace: A Journey of Suicide, Survival and Strength (2006) and Suite Judy Blue Eyes: My Life in Music (2011) – Ms. Collins continues to record and perform concerts around the world.

Reviews of Judy Collins:
+ Stephen Holden in The New York Times: “Judy Collins, that ageless wild angel of pop, has many faces, all of them magnificently on display (in concert)…  (She is an) ethereal, vibratoless soprano, whose sound evokes a shaft of moonlight on a clear night providing silver-blue illumination, In such enchanted light, the spirits come out to dance.”

+  “Few performers seem as truly comfortable on stage, or can make an audience feel as comfortable as (Judy) Collins does… Her ability to spread love throughout a room remains a wonder to behold.”

+ Troy Times Union: “Her crystalline soprano voice sparkled and shimmered as she stood center stage, her silver-white hair cascading down the back of her black velvet jacket as she gently strummed her 12-string guitar.”

+ ReadingEagle.com: Judy Collins “is as timeless as the songs she sings.”
