-- Last year the Nordic region’s largest exhibition and congress centre, Stockholmsmä
ssan, finished the remodelling work on their main entrance which covers a 2,200 square metre area. The centre decided to enhance and enlarge their entryway to improve logistics at times of heavy visitor flows and parallel events in the building particularly when exhibitions coincide with a congress or other large meeting.
For the grand opening J&C Joel, in conjunction with Hofmann Teknik, supplied 60 metres of red Polyester Trevira (PT013) and 170 metres of 5.2 metres wide white Voile (VOI018).The fabric was suspended from a Kabuki system made up of several mechanisms attached to a truss running along the roof above the entrance.
The contrast between the red and white fabric was intensified by the wind intertwining the two materials as they blew majestically over the entrance. Once the crowds had gathered and the speeches had ended it was time for the grand unveiling; the Kabuki System sent the delicate material cascading to the ground, revealing Stockholmsmä
ssan’s newly remodelled main entrance.
Polyester Trevira and Voile are perfect for making lustrous flowing curtains, swags and ceiling linings. The lightweight fabrics are inherently flame retardant making them ideal materials throughout the industry, including TV, film, theatre and events.
