Synergy Fitness Studio to add program for active order adults

SUPERIOR, Colo. - March 19, 2014 - PRLog -- Synergy Fitness Studio owner Cori Ehrhart recently added Zumba Gold Fitness to the class offering.  Zumba Gold is specifically designed to bring the exciting and fun original Zumba Fitness program to the active older adult, the beginner participant, and other special populations that may need modifications for success. Staying active regardless of age, restrictions or ability improves physical and mental health in any person.

Cori is dedicated to making fitness a fun and exhilarating experience for everyone. “I love the satisfaction of helping people feel stronger, younger, happier and healthier.” Dedicated to ensuring her clients success, Cori enjoys showing people how easy it is to improve their health and enjoy their workout.

The goals of an exercise program for older individuals are maintenance of functional capacity and independent living, reduction in the risk of cardiovascular disease, slowing the progression of chronic diseases, promotion of psychological well-being and opportunities for social interaction according to the American College of Sports Medicine (ASCM). This program not only accomplishes those goals, it helps improve overall health and wellness including quality of life.

The Zumba Gold participant is not categorized by age alone. This is a perfect class for people who are new to this type of fitness program or may not be able to keep up in a high-energy class. It also allows for modification based on medical restrictions or recovery. These participants love the music, want to exercise, and enjoy socializing with their peers. It’s a perfect program for people of all ages and abilities.
