Task Management Software Supports Google Calendar, Google Tasks, SQL Server, Azure
Interfathom has released TaskMerlin v. 5.2, a flexible Windows project management application that tracks projects from simple to-do lists to complex collaborative projects.
The Professional Edition of TaskMerlin makes it easy for project managers to use Gantt charts to track the project's critical path and respond to interruptions and delays that affect the project's schedule. Gantt charts are created automatically as project information is added. Editing of tasks is done directly on the Gantt chart, with new dependencies and due dates reflected immediately on the screen.
In addition to Gantt charts, TaskMerlin makes it simple to share task lists, schedules, notes, and project plans. The software has built-in appointment calendars and a powerful reminders system.
With its emphasis on flexibility, TaskMerlin provides customized tracking screens and reports. Project managers can create user-defined fields, and rename fields to make them more meaningful. Project team members can be restricted to editing only the data that is under their area of responsibility. The software can even tailor tasks to be compatible with David Allen's Getting Things Done (GTD) workflow methodology.
TaskMerlin delivers a lower total cost of ownership (TCO) than most online project management solutions. A single-user license of the Personal Edition costs $75(US). Licenses for the Professional Edition start at $150 per user, and include integration with MS SQL Server and Windows Azure, as well as simultaneous multi-user database access, Gantt chart support, and individualized email settings, popup reminders, filter definitions, vxfng and display options. Multi-user discounts are available for both editions.
TaskMerlin v. 5.2 runs under Windows 8.1, 8, 7, Vista, XP, and Server 2012/2008/2003, and is easy to integrate into Microsoft Office, Outlook, and other desktop software.
