Celebrating Survivors of Domestic Violence
Non-profit organization “Milagros Day Worldwide” honor domestic violence victims and survivors with a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge on Mother’s Day
“The walk and concert was created as a declaration of the Milagros Day Worldwide mission of turning abuse into success. It is a day of tribute for the mothers we have lost to domestic violence as well as a family day of celebration for the love of all mothers.” says CEO/Founder Dawn Diaz.
Milagros Day Worldwide Annual Mother's Day Walk 2014 will begin with a warm-up session of Zumba followed by a press conference at Park Row and Centre Street in Manhattan. The approximately 1.1 mile walk across the Brooklyn Bridge will end with a multicultural concert in Cadman Park Plaza that features performances by several artists from the Tri-State area.
This will be the 3rd annual walk for Milagros Day Worldwide and will host keynote speakers including Global Transformational Leader, celebrity coach, motivational speaker and author Karen Hoyos.
Milagros Day Worldwide is a non-profit organization that provides personal growth and professional development, as well as leadership mentoring and coaching to survivors of domestic violence and people who grew up in abusive households. The three core principles that guide their teachings are Re-Creation (limiting belief transformation)
