National Association of Women Business Owners will Announce Winners, The Envelope Please!

CORONA, Calif. - March 18, 2014 - PRLog -- The National Association of Women’s Business Owners, Inland Empire (NAWBO-IE) honors outstanding local women business owners, and April Marcial owner and inventor of CoverMyHeart has been nominated for the Rising Star category.

The NAWBO Rising Star Award is presented to a woman who has been in business five (5) years or less and has demonstrated a clear track record of success.  She must demonstrate commitment and achievement in spite of the daunting task of starting a new business. “We are excited to honor the women in our Inland Empire community who are making a huge impact with their businesses and organizations,” says Lavonne Shields, Event Chair “And CoverMyHeart is among this list”.

April Marcial launched CoverMyHeart, designing Breastfeeding covers with a fashion twist in March of 2011 after being on unemployment.  “I decided to take my future into my own hands and see what I could make for myself”.  said April Marcial, “I was lost and I had no idea how to do it, so I decided to learn from other business women, and after a course offered by NAWBO-IE , Thrive gave me the tools  to be successful, a clear vision and the confidence to re-launch in October 2014“.

What a difference a course can make, now CoverMyHeart is located in 13 retail locations Nationwide and Canada, and sold in three major hospitals including CHOC Orange County.  “I am so honored being nominated for the Rising Star award, it is a direct result of the mentorship and support being offered at NAWBO-IE”, said April.
