Follow on Google News | Jeff Slate’s Dylan Obscura, featuring the Early Roman Kings and all star guestsJeff Slate, Earl Slick, Jimmy McElligott, Rick Mullen and Steve Holley make their triumphant return with an evening of Bob Dylan’s music like you’ve never heard before, this Friday at NYCs Cutting Room
By: BadgeTunes Publishing/Jeff Slate Jeff Slate returns to the Cutting Room with the Early Roman Kings, his brand new, all-star band featuring Earl Slick (Bowie, Lennon), Jimmy McElligott, Rick Mullen (Don McLean) and Steve Holley (Wings, Ian Hunter), plus some amazing surprise guests. After an act of God – including arctic conditions, burst pipes and a visit from the FDNY – forced the cancellation of the debut of Jeff Slate’s Dylan Obscura show at Joe's Pub in early January, this one is surely not to be missed! In 2012 Slate debuted his solo album Birds of Paradox to sold out crowds around New York City, including shows at the Cutting Room that reunited drummer Steve Holley and his former Wings bandmate Laurence Juber. Since then Slate has toured, released a new album of original music inspired Elvis Costello, and written extensively about some of music’s biggest names for Esquire, Guitar World and elsewhere. In February he was a featured performer with his Birds of Paradox band at the 40th anniversary Fest For Beatles Fans in New York City. He’s currently hard at work on a new album, featuring performances by Earl Slick, Kenney Jones, Ian McLagan, Steve Holley, Carlos Alomar and many, many more!
