Palm Springs Regional Association of REALTORS® Marks 85th Anniversary at Hard Rock Hotel

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. - March 17, 2014 - PRLog -- (Palm Springs, CA) – While the City of Palm Springs recently celebrated its 75^th anniversary, the Palm Springs Regional Association of REALTORS® (PSRAR) has been around since prior to the City’s incorporation. Formed in 1929, PSRAR will mark its 85^th Anniversary on April 19^th at 6:00pm at the Hard Rock Hotel Palm Springs with the help of Presenting Sponsor Integrated Wealth Management in association with Integrated Mortgage Solutions.  The event, described as a “happening” will be a fun-filled, unconventional “gala”. The “dress to impress” celebration will feature not only hosted cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and dinner buffets, but also a musical and visual journey through the highlights of the area’s evolution with the help of live performances from Live It Up! Productions, followed by DJs and dancing.

PSRAR’s 2014 Board President Dwayne Carrier explained, “This is a community celebration, and everyone is invited. We all share a role in making this community what it is today!”  Carrier went on to explain how REALTORS® are, and have been, an integral part of the Greater Palm Springs community since 1929. “They are usually the first people to introduce new area homeowners to their neighbors, local businesses, community services and nonprofits. As a group we strive to always be an integral part of the community,” said Carrier, whose organization raises thousands of dollars each year as part of its “Close to Home” community giving program.  Each year a series of events are held to benefit four or more Coachella Valley nonprofits.

The celebration of the Association’s 85^th Anniversary is being lauded as a musical and visual happening like no other.  “This won’t be a traditional sit down gala,” said Becky Bowles, President-Elect of the group for 2015. “There will be plenty of food, drink and comfortable seating, but this is meant to be a fun, cocktail party environment, complete with live entertainment.” Even with special guests including Congressman Raul Ruiz, MD as well as various other elected officials, the speeches, we’re told, will be kept to a minimum.  “This will be a fun happening that is all about the experience,” added Bowles.
