New art design tour of Paris launches just in time for PAD Paris fair
Visitors to Paris discover the wealth of art design throughout the city
Ever since the days of Marie Antoinette, Paris has been a hub of art design -- both the creation and manufacture of art objects, and the presentation of works in galleries such as Kreo.
“We wanted to time the launch of our new custom tour to the Paris Art+Design fair,” says Insider consultant Caroline Etter. “That way we can offer our fair clients further opportunities to discover works of interest to them.”
The works clients can visit are diverse -- ranging from small objets d’art, to unique large furniture pieces -- from the Empire period, to art nouveau to midcentury to contemporary art objects.
“And,” says Etter, “We have an interiors specialist available to consult with clients’ interior decorators to make sure we have the specifications just right.”
“We know for our clients it’s as much about the experience of Paris as it is about the design,” says co-founder Carolyn Smith. “We punctuate the day with stops at the better cafés and restaurants on our route.”
Of course, if a client makes acquisitions, the city | art insider team helps to make certain they arrive home safely.
city | art insider is devoted to providing Paris visitors with instant access to Paris’s vibrant international art scene, providing personalized tours, artist encounters, art fair visits, and auction days.
