About The Bella Center:
We believe in creating a more peaceful world through inspiring and empowering survivors of violence. We provide holistic creative-healing retreat workshops for victims of past sexual violence and abuse. Based in Owatonna, Minnesota, we work with retreat centers throughout the upper Midwest. We feel it is imperative to provide this program to individuals regardless of ability to pay. Currently, all administration is volunteer, so that 100% of donations can go into the program. 501(c)(3) status pending.
The Bella Center is not a medical or mental health treatment facility. However, people are often impacted long after abuse or trauma has ended, and it is during this time of ongoing recovery that creative therapeutic activities in a nurturing environment can help individuals attain a higher level of wellness.
The Bella Center was founded by Katherine Seger. Katherine is a professional artist and retired registered nurse.
