Laugh Riot Press Announces Marketing And Publishing Company For Writers Of Funny Books

March 14, 2014 - PRLog -- Wilmington, NC, March 2014 – Laugh Riot Press, a brand new digital hotspot that will feature indie authors and their funny books, announces plans to launch its e-commerce website and marketing network in 2014.  The Laugh Riot Press website will serve as a platform to connect writers with an audience of readers looking for books that will make them laugh.  By embracing the online, independent, paradigm shift of the publishing industry, Laugh Riot Press aims to combine the efforts, talents, and products of a finite number of writers with similar focus to promote its books using collaborative, digital, and social media marketing practices that will allow the authors more time to do what they love – write.  Unlike other online book marketing companies servicing unlimited authors in multiple genres in time-constrained windows, Laugh Riot Press will spotlight a community of funny authors and their books year-round.

“I wanted my books to have a life of their own as soon as possible, my theory being the more funny books in the world, the better,” says Rich Leder, screenwriter, novelist, and founder of Laugh Riot Press.  After experiencing first-hand “an industry in the throes of a sea change,” and being inspired by “iconic indie author-publisher-entrepreneur-warriors-and-heroes,” Leder envisioned a marketing and publishing company that offered independent authors access to the most “cost effective way to get the word out with the widest net to the largest number of people that there’s a product or service in the marketplace worth knowing about. In this case, that product would be indie authors and their funny books."

Laugh Riot Press is scheduled to launch in Summer 2014 with the debut of Leder’s Juggler, Porn Star, Monkey Wrench, and the first two books in his PI series, McCall & Company: Workman’s Complication, and McCall & Company: Swollen Identity.

And Laugh Riot Press will soon be looking for other funny writers to join Leder and become part of this new, indie, state-of-the-art, social-media-marketing machine.  Laugh Riot Press writers will be able to sell their funny books from the website, will have their own personal profile page and individual book pages, and will benefit from the collective marketing efforts of the Laugh Riot Press team and its writers.  Ultimately, the Laugh Riot Press concept and marketing model is expected to expand into other genres including romance, mystery, thrillers, memoir, science fiction, business, and children.
