Improve Media Relations with FMC Webinar Series

BETHPAGE, N.Y. - March 13, 2014 - PRLog -- The Fair Media Council has created a series of webinars designed specifically for nonprofit organizations, startups and small-to-medium sized businesses to enhance communication skills and improve media relations efforts.

"Expertise in media relations is vital," said FMC Executive Director Jaci Clement. "The 24/7 news cycle and the popularity of social media make it easy to get in front of an audience, yet it's harder than ever to be memorable to that same audience. What make FMC training different than other webinars out there is the fact that we stress being memorable and share newsroom secrets for getting the media's attention."

The first of these webinars, Creating the Perfect Pitch for Media Relations, will take place on Thursday, March 20 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

The second webinar in the series will take place on Wednesday, April 30 from 3:30  to 4:30 p.m. and will focus on Media Relations 101. Copresenting this training program will be Zimmerman/Edelson's David Chauvin.

The third webinar on the spring schedule, Creating a Communications Plan, will be held on Thursday, May 22 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
