Fresno Senior Living Community Completes Phase 2 of $120 Million Community Transformation

FRESNO, Calif. - March 11, 2014 - PRLog -- The Terraces at San Joaquin Gardens recently completed construction on Milano, Fresno’s newest residential living residences. The construction is part of a $120 million senior living redevelopment project, including new residential living, new health services, new commons spaces and a variety of amenities.

According to the United States Census Bureau, Fresno County residents 65 and older make up more than 10% of the population, and the number continues to rise. Studies suggest there will be 72 million seniors by 2030, a number that will represent about 20% of the United States population.

“The number of older adults in the Fresno area is on the rise, and we want to provide a new, fun and welcoming home for them,” said Jessica Lopez, executive director at The Terraces at San Joaquin Gardens. “We’re continuing to transform our community to address the growing need for senior living options in the Fresno area, and are looking forward to meeting with families and welcoming even more older adults in the coming months.”

With the addition of 86 new residences in Milano, The Terraces at San Joaquin Gardens now has 262 residential living apartment homes on campus. Milano includes two common areas, underground parking and a courtyard, and offers a number of amenities including a swimming pool, fitness center, multiple dining venues, beauty salon and more, and are available for use by all residents at the community.
